Install Common Data Service (CDS) Starter Portal.

Hello Folks, I am back again with an another post on power app portal. Today i am going to show to how to install power app portal for Common Data Service (CDS) / Install CDS Starter Portal.

Now follow the below steps to do:

Step 1: Sign in to Power App.

Step 2: After sign-in, you will redirect to the page as show in below screen-shot.
Now in this screen, check the environment for which you are installing the portal.
Here i don't have any CDS Environment so i will create my environment but if you have CDS Environment then you can skip the steps from 4 to 8.

Step 3: Now click on Create button on the left panel and then select the Portal From Blank option.

Step 4: After click, it will show a pop-up like No Database found as show in below snapshot. it show this popup because currently we do not have any environment selected. Now from here you can create your environment for the portal (CDS environment).


Note: but if you have select your CDS enviroment then it will not show this pop-up to create the environment.

Step 5: Now click on Create New Environment.


Step 6: Now fill all the information as per your requirement and then click on Create button. It will create a new environment.


Then it will show you a notification to you.

Step 7: Now create the database to enable the access of Common Data Service. Click on Create database.

Note: By-mistake, if you have close this pop-up then to get this pop-up again you have to click on Portal From Blank option again.

Step 8: Fill the information as per your requirement and then click on Create my database. It will take some time to create the database.


Now you have set-up your CDS environment successfully.

Step 9: Now click on portal from blank option. it will open a pop-up as show in below snapshot.

but if the below screenshot comes for the selected environment where it show some message like pre-requisite install first in that case, portal provisioning can take some time and you’ll be notified when the portal is provisioned.


Step 10: Now fill all the required information and then click on create button.

After the portal is provisioned successfully, the status is updated and the portal is displayed in the app section.
